昼ごろに起きて、ラジオを聴いたり、雑誌を読んだりして過ごす。Coyote・2008年4月号の柴田元幸の書き下ろしの掌編「僕とヒッチハイクと猿」がとてもよかった。
ぼくにとっては初めての中年の、最初期の感覚についてよく考えた一日だった。思考には満足している。

I woke up around noon and spent the time listening to the radio and reading magazines.
In the April 2008 issue of Coyote, I came across Shibata Motoyuki’s newly written short piece, Boku to Hitchhike to Saru (Me, Hitchhiking, and a Monkey), and it was truly wonderful.
It was a day spent reflecting deeply on the earliest sensations of middle age—my first time experiencing them. I’m satisfied with where those thoughts led me.
