I took care of the kind of desk work that suits the first day of the month.
The evening jog was rough—humid and heavy. I cut it short at 7 km, stopping by the library on the way back.
After a quick shower, I left home at 7 p.m.
Wrapped up a job in Shibuya at 10, then headed straight to Timeout in Meguro.
Yoko-san was there, along with a few familiar faces. We started talking and didn’t leave until 2 a.m.
Even after so much time apart, we could talk as if picking up a conversation from just yesterday. Old friends are a blessing.
On rainy Meguro-dori, it was a dead heat with the taxis. But surprisingly, everyone drove with a sense of mutual respect—it felt good.
I thought, “Is this the Sarthe Circuit?”
Of course, it was a Friday night.
