Konome-ame

仕事を抱えていたのだが、昼間は近所を歩いて写真を撮って過ごした。

新しいカメラが届いたのだ。そして、ようやく端緒についた、という感覚なのである。すこし遅すぎたか、と考えるととても恐ろしくなるが、牛のように図々しく進むしかないのだろう。

日が暮れてから机に向かった。

I had work to do, but I spent the day walking around the neighborhood, taking photos.

A new camera had arrived—and with it, I finally felt like I was at the true starting point. The thought that I may have come to it too late terrifies me, but I suppose I’ll have to press on, stubborn as a cow.

After sunset, I finally sat down at my desk.
