仕事の息抜きに森の中を走る。とても蒸し暑く、息苦しさを感じる。だが汗をかくのは気持ちがいい。中央図書館で15分ほど過ごし、ふたたび外に出ると、エゴノキの甘い香りが満ちている。ここのところ好んで筋トレをしている広場の芝生に寝転がると、西陽を受けた巻雲に虹が出ていた。瑞兆だろう。
I went for a run through the woods to take a break from work. It was a little humid, and I felt short of breath—but sweating felt good.

Lying on the grass in the open field where I’ve been doing strength training lately, I saw a rainbow shimmering in the cirrus clouds, lit by the western sun. A good omen, perhaps.
