ゴールデン・ウィークもとくにいつもと変わらずに過ごしていた。考えてみれば、自営業でひとり暮らしなのだから、わざわざ祝日に合わせて休む理由がない、ということなのだろう。ここのところはずっと、規則正しい生活を求めている。

夜、録画しておいたNHKの「K2西壁 ふたりの軌跡」を観た。平出和也と中島健郎の、最後になってしまった2024年夏の山行の記録だ。いまはまだ言葉にならない。
I spent the Golden Week holidays pretty much the same as usual. Thinking about it, since I live alone and work independently, there’s really no reason for me to take time off just because it’s a holiday.

At night, I finally watched the NHK documentary I had recorded, K2 West Face: The Journey of Two Climbers.
It’s the account of Kazuya Hiraide and Kenro Nakajima’s final expedition to the mountains in the summer of 2024.
Right now, I still can’t find the words to express how I feel.
