1987年大阪府生まれ。
高校卒業後、音楽活動のために渡ったアメリカで日本人の写真家に出会い、写真を始める。
2008年、写真部を志望し入社した会社で商品企画部に配属され、以後6年間、マーケティング・広告ディレクション・マネジメント・予算管理などの業務に携わる。
2013年に退職し、前述の写真家のもとでのアシスタント経験を経て、2014年よりフリーランス・フォトグラファーとして活動を開始。人物・自動車・スポーツ・建築などの分野で撮影を手掛けてきた。

2023年に合同会社ヒトグラムを設立。各種メディア向けの撮影に加え、広告・企業広報に関するディレクション業務全般を請け負う。東京在住。

1987年　大阪で生まれる。

2005年　ブルース・ギターの探求のために渡ったアメリカで日本人フォトグラファーに出会ったことがきっかけで写真を始める。

2008年　写真部を志望し入社した会社で商品企画部に配属される。経営学・マネジメント・マーケティングなど、実務に役立つ書物を読み漁る。

2013年　退職し前述のフォトグラファーに商業写真を教わる。

2014年　フリーランス・フォトグラファーとして活動を開始。三鷹と西荻のアングラな日々。青森出身のKさんに俳句を教わる。

2020年　コロナ禍で仕事は激減するが、千葉の海辺でのんびり過ごす。

2022年　個人事業の広報のために「コノメアメ」と名付けたホームページを立ち上げる。猫を連れて東京に戻る。

2023年　合同会社ヒトグラムを設立する。フル・マラソンを走り始める。

趣味はマラソン、登山、読書、句作、野球観戦、F1観戦など。スワローズとカルロス・サインツのファン。私淑する作家は池澤夏樹。文学の入り口は高校生のころに読んだ太宰治の『人間失格』。他によく読む作家だと、ヘミングウェイ、カポーティ、ドストエフスキーあたり。写真家だと牛腸茂雄、ドアノー、ショア。音楽はバッハからローリング・ストーンズまで（狭い）。東京都稲城市在住。保護猫と暮らす。

撮影と文筆を好む。

Koki Komiya (also known as Komi)

Born in Osaka in 1987

In 2005, during a trip to the United States to explore blues guitar, I met a Japanese photographer, which sparked my interest in photography. Over the next ten years, I tried various professions, but ultimately returned to photography.

In 2014, I began working as a freelance photographer. My days in Mitaka and Nishi-Ogikubo, and my encounter with haiku.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my work drastically decreased, but I spent my time relaxing by the seaside in Chiba.

In 2022, I started running a website named Konome-ame for the promotion of my freelance business. I also returned to Tokyo, bringing my cat with me.

In 2023, I established Hitogram LLC.

I enjoy marathon running, hiking, reading, writing haiku, and watching baseball and F1. I’m a fan of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows and Carlos Sainz. I admire Natsuki Ikezawa, and my introduction to literature was Dazai’s No Longer Human in high school. I also read Hemingway, Capote, and Dostoevsky. My favorite photographers are Shigeo Gocho, Doisneau, and Shore. My music range spans Bach to The Rolling Stones. I live in Inagi City, Tokyo.

このウェブサイトについて-About the Website

このサイトを作り始めたのは、2022年2月のことでした。

パンデミックにあっては、人に会えないし、余計な金も使えない、だけどなんとか事業を続ける必要がある。そのときまで事業の広報にインターネットをほとんど活用してこなかったことを後悔しつつ、ブログの投稿を閃きました。日記なら毎日書いているし、どんな「商店」かを知ってもらうためにはそう的外れな方法ではないだろうと考えました。大まかなサイトの骨格を作って、適当に過去の日記を貼り付けてみて、しばらくほったらかしたりして、いよいよ、毎日更新することを自分に課しました。それは、どんなことでも毎日やっていれば上手くなるだろうという、楽観的で、いささか筋肉質な信念があったからです。

ということで、このサイトの根底にはブログの筆法が流れています。ですが念頭に置いているのは朝刊のコラム欄です。ブログの枠組みにとらわれない、いわば「コラムサイト」のようなものを目指して、日々模索しています。

もっと効率的な方法はきっとあるのでしょうが、どうも速達よりかは浸透の原理に惹かれるようです。

最後にもう一つ。コノメアメは漢字で書くと木の芽雨です。これは俳句の春の季語で、樹々が芽吹くころに降る雨のことです。雨を含んだ土の匂いが、これからの季節を予感させるような、そんな生命感に溢れる雨の名前を拝借しました。

I started building this website in February 2022.

The pandemic made it difficult to meet people, and unnecessary spending was out of the question—but I still needed to keep my business going. I regretted not having used the internet more effectively for promotion up to that point, and then it struck me: a blog. I had been keeping a daily journal anyway, and sharing it online didn’t seem like a completely misguided way of letting people know what kind of “shop” I was running.

So I built a rough structure for the site, pasted in a few old journal entries, neglected it for a while—and eventually, I made a decision: I would update it daily. I held a somewhat muscular kind of optimism that said anything done every day is bound to improve.

So, the writing style on this site is rooted in blogging. But what I truly have in mind is more like a newspaper column—a morning column. I’m aiming for something closer to a “column site” than a traditional blog, exploring and experimenting day by day.

There are surely more efficient ways to share information. But for some reason, I find myself drawn less to express delivery than to slow absorption.

One last thing: Konome-ame (written in kanji as 木の芽雨) is a seasonal word from haiku, referring to the rain that falls just as trees begin to bud in spring. It’s a name that carries the scent of moist earth and the feeling that something new is about to begin—a name full of quiet vitality. I’ve borrowed it in hopes that this site might carry the same sense of life.
